Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 11:16, Thursday 13 February 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 5 minutes later. ref: 1996013.
Further to report ref: 1970329 dated 30/01/20 which said “Overgrown bush obstructing pathway and visibility to see traffic. Having to push buggy’s onto busy road to get past”. The response from NCC was rather dismissive, and said “Thank you for your enquiry, Nursery Drive is not an adopted road”. I feel it is important to establish who is responsible for maintenance of the road and verges at this location. It is my understanding that private ownership of the road commences at the point where the road surface changes from tarmac to block paving. Consequently, I believe that maintenance of the bush shown in the photo rests with NCC. Perhaps NCC could re-consider their response. By way of clarification, I believe that these bushes were voluntarily kept tidy by previous owners of 34 Nest Lane. Not so the current owner.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.
