Huge pothole just after the national speed limit sign heading north out of the village

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 1 minute later. ref: 2000921.

I 'found' this last night, I suspect a buckled alloy wheel because of it. Getting it checked today.

  • I returned today to take photos to support a potential claim for damage. The shiny disc is a 10p coin for scale. There were also three vehicles all with punctures and wheel damage, on had both nearside wheels damaged. The AA were in attendance at one vehicle and it was them that placed the 'roadworks' sign in an attempt to warn motorists.

    I called the police as the pothole is almost impossible to avoid as there is a traffic island forcing vehicles to that part of the road, a swerve or loss of control could prove fatal.
