Large area of road surface broken up and dangerous

Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 10:14, Wednesday 19 February 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 2 minutes later. ref: 2008024.

The whole road surface has broken up and is dangerous, I had an email today saying the previous report has been resolved, that is not the case, all that has been done is loose chipping put in one pothole. This is a section of road is approx 25m and across the full width.

  • Large section between the newton rd junction and sharp bend on mill hill needs completely resurfacing. Been like it weeks along with the section further down where all the potholes are. Just filling a few potholes is NOT the answer. I have to use this road every day and am concerned about the long term effects on my cars suspension

  • I have completely given up using this road for my daily commute to/from Geddington, which I've done for 8 years! The whole stretch of road is awful now. Road edges broken away. Potholes everywhere. It's a disgrace

  • Part of this section of road has had a bit of tarmac dumped in the holes, it hasnt been rolled flat and there is still a big area of this road that still needs fixing. It is still not safe to ride a bike over, I have already had an accident on this section which damaged my bike. If I damage my wheels again I will make a claim as they are a £1000 set of carbon wheels.
