All storm drains blocked
Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 07:52, Fri 21 February 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 2012229.
ALL the storm drains are blocked on Hazelwood Lane - all water is gathering on the blocked drain outside number 4 hazelwood lane flooding the walkway and the outhouses which are private property. - if this is not rectified there is a possibility that during a storm water will flood the back of the properties of west street - this did happen in 2007. It does seem that there is no scheduled drain maintenance plan leaving only a reaction service - on inspecting the drains in hazelwood lane it is evident that the drains have not been maintained for a long period of time

The thunderstorm that occurred on June 16th at 20.00pm again flooded the back of the houses of west street - the only reason there was no damage to property was because I managed to open manhole covers to relieve the build up of water. the photos do not show the full extent of the problem and I am unable to load up a video to show the real extent of the problem. All Drains are blocked on Hazelwood lane and this problem really extends up onto Kettering market place. This has been reported and it has not been rectified. All the water that drains off Hazelwood lane is now coming directly into the rear of the properties of 14, 15, 16 and 17 West street!
