Speed hump breaking up making a 3 to 4 inch deep pothole

Speed hump breaking up hole is almost 2inch below road but remaining edge of hump in direct line of travel still intact so effective pothole depth is 3 to 5 inch

  • The speed bump is now extremely dangerous causing traffic to avoid the bump so as not to damage cars.

    There are also problems with several of the other bumps crumbling away.

  • This is now more that a pot hole. A significant area of the speedhump is breaking up leaving deep holes in the road in more than one area of the speed hump. To be clear, driving in a car over this may well cause tyre and or suspension damage. If a cyclist or motor cyclist were to hit the area they face the risk of being thrown off and suffering serious injury. Some car drivers who become aware of the holes at the last minute are swerving - sometimes into the oncoming section of the road.
