Large pothole near chip shop, caused puncture and cracked alloy

Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Jack Morley at 20:16, Sunday 8 March 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 13 minutes later. ref: 2048631.

I was coming back from gym one night and hit the pothole, then parked up for the night as I live on the street.

When I woke up in the morning my tyre had gone completely flat. And was unable to be pumped up.

As a result of this I had to take the wheel of an take it to a local garage, who then discovered that the pothole had also cracked the alloy. I then I had to take the wheel to a local welding company to be repaired before they would fit the new tyre.

I would like to make a claim for the damages caused to my vehicle
