Extensive destruction of road surface.
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Dr John Fitton at 11:21, Wednesday 25 March 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 5 minutes later. ref: 2072799.
The side of this narrow road has broken up due to flooding for several weeks from the adjacent ditch/drainage channel. This has overflowed owing to a blocked gulley on the south west side. After several days of no rain the water is still on the road. This could have been prevented by unblocking the short gulley under the field entrance weeks ago. At the unblocked end, it looks as though it has been deliberately blocked with loose bricks. The flood water conceals several large potholes. (A couple of weeks ago a large van had to be pulled from the ditch at this point.)
