Recurrence of badly repaired pothole
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Dr John Fitton at 11:29, Wed 25 March 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 1 minute later. ref: 2072804.
This is yet another example of the unsatisfactory workmanship of your contractors. This pothole was repaired only a few weeks ago but has reappeared. The remains of its incompetent repair can be seen. It looks as though a mere five minutes was spent sweeping out the hole, depositing a dollop of tarmac, tamping it in with a hand tool and moving on to the next job. It appears that no attempt was made to seal the edges. Once again, I question the managerial competence of oversight to ensure quality of work done. If there is none, it is hardly surprising that these road repairers will do as little as possible for as much as they can get.
Incidentally, there is also an unrepaired pothole a few yards to the east on the north side, by the narrow bridge. It is becoming almost impossible to avoid.
