Overhanging of conifers along Blackthorn Road

Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 12:36, Thursday 14 May 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2115618.

Trees are overhanging dangerously over the path on Blackthorn Road/Elton Close to the point where they are pushing the fence out. Walking along the path in adverse weather is dangerous as the branches have been breaking off and falling down. This is a main pathway to schools. This has been ongoing for a number of years and it seems they have not been cut back at all.

  • The trees still haven't been cut back and are getting taller. What time frame is given to the homeowners requesting the trees be cut back?

  • Can you please provide an update on when the homeowners are going to cut back these overhanging trees? Children are back to school in a month and these trees are dangerously hanging over the path at a very low height. They have also pushed the fence further out to the point where if there is bad weather when children are walking to school, there could be a bad accident. If this happens when I'm walking with my children then I can assure you I WILL be taking legal against the homeowner and Northamptonshire County Council.
