Faded zebra crossing

I reported on February 22...…. The zebra crossing immediately outside the Ringstead infant/junior school gate, is very worn and almost totally gone over half of the width of the road. This is a main through route in the village and is the only 'safe' crossing for all of the children in the village as they daily go to school and home again. It should be repainted without delay for the safety of the children and their parents. On Feb 24th I received...…..Thank you for your enquiry. The faded road markings at this location have been added to our forward programme for refurbishment State changed to: Closed The report's reference number is 2014320. May 20th...….This crossing is still in it's original dangerous state. I realise that the country is facing other dangers but notice that it no longer exists as a pending report on "Fix my street". please update me on when this problem is going to be fixed.

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 14:14, Thursday 18 June 2020

  • This problem was first reported on Feb 22nd then again on May 20th and was due to be fixed within 28 days of that later report. That time is up and it has not been fixed. The school has not been shut during lockdown and is now open to more pupils. This is now more than an urgent problem.
