Makeshift drop kerb installed - TRIP HAZARD

Reported in the Damaged/Loose category anonymously at 20:54, Friday 22 May 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2125923.

Hello,

I am reporting this makeshift dropped kerb in this location on Brandenburg Road, because as the photos demonstrate, its presence creates a very real trip hazard for members of the public.

There is at least a two-inch trip-hazard for members of the public where the makeshift dropped kerb does not reach the full height of the actual kerb.

This has remained as it is for years, along with the associated trip-hazard. Has this makeshift dropped kerb has been constructed in accordance with Section 184 of the Highways Act (1980)? Why has it been constructed in a way that leaves such a substantial trip-hazard to members of the public?
