Fire hydrant has been blocked by poor quality road surface re-instatement

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2130531.

Northants fire and rescue service require this road surface surrounding fire hydrant to be re-done properly it is poor quality and has been filled with gravel when the road was resurfaced. Please add to the other 7 jobs and let us know when complete. The fire hydrant cannot be used until rectified.

  • Good afternoon, thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. The fire hydrant in question has been inspected and cleared of any debris. It was also noted that the valve appears to be leaking slightly, could this please be checked be one of your engineers at your earliest convenience.
