Request for new

Reported via iOS in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category by Peter Dowsett at 07:14, Thursday 28 May 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2132001.

Please excuse the incorrect use of this category but this is the nearest that I can find. I’d like to request a new footpath (ideally a cycleway given the government’s new commitment to cyclists with Covid19) from the new Persimmon WELDON Park development to Bears Lane. This will provide safe access to the woodlands for all residents of WELDON. Please let me know if I should make the application through a different means. Thank you.

  • Thank you for contacting us and apologies for the delay in replying. We have noted the request for a new footpath to provide a link to Bears Lane, but this is dependent on highway budgets being available. If you wish to specifically request it in relation to new Covid funding, please also log it here: https://saferstreetsnorthamptonshire.commonplace.is/ Our verge mowing programme is underway, but we only mow rural verges twice a year so this has not been done yet here. There is some uncut grass which may be a developer’s responsibility and our Site Manager will liaise accordingly. Many thanks.
