Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 12:03, Thursday 28 May 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2132544.
The footpath along Harlestone Road, Northampton. From Harlestone Manor Estate to The Hart pub, the path is overgrown and extremely narrow. The soil is partially covering the path, that with hedgerows overgrown, it makes it increasingly difficult for pedestrians, particularly those with pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. I am especially concerned at the moment for pedestrians. Social distancing rules is encouraging people to walk into the road to avoid others. The bend in the road is blind there and traffic could easily knock somebody over. Street lighting on that stretch of the path is poor as well, although this isn’t such an issue
