Degraded surface boards on cycle/foot path.

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2142372.

This is a combined cycle and foot bridge over Harrowden Road, Wellingborough and is showing signs of degrading and damage. Please inspect and repair as necessary.

  • Thank you for contacting Northamptonshire Highways. We visited the footbridge yesterday, 10th June and noted that there are a few deck boards that are in poor condition. Unfortunately, as the footbridge is of timber construction, it will continue to deteriorate. We will request our sub-contractor to replace the deteriorated boards. We are required to repair this damage within 24 months of notification, however we anticipate it will be repaired within six months.
