Hedge and tree is far too overgrown - blocking all views of oncoming traffic for pedestrians crossing the bridge
Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 11:07, Mon 8 June 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2146536.
There is no footpath on one side of the bridge so when using the only one, it is impossible to see what is coming from Stoke Doyle road - vehicles can be heard sometimes but can approach very quickly, and on a windy day cannot be heard, any cycles cannot be seen at all. There are numerous elderly people (slow to cross the bridge) and children and I worry that unless the vegetation is cut someone is going to get knocked down. In addition, although two cars can pass on the bridge, as a driver myself, I can say that without being able to see what's coming it is a difficult bridge to cross. If it is not the council's responsibility, then maybe a letter can be sent to the farmer - it might be his. .......
