Passage way almost impassable
Reported in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 15:11, Monday 15 June 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2156824.
Firstly there is no signpost from the A5 entrance to say that there is actually a R.O.W. there and I only came across it from the canal side. When entering the R.O.W. I approached the second field and found that a fence had been erected causing the R.O.W. to become extremely narrow although it was passable, just! Added to this there is lots of overhanging vegetation i.e. branches and weeds which makes walking upright impossible. A hedge has been planted along this point which when fully grown will block the R.O.W. off. Also there is a lot of badger/fox mounds which makes the ground extremely difficult to walk upon and one could easily sprain their ankle or worse.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

Thanks for reporting this a site visit has been made and we arrange for some signage to be erected at the A5 end, contact will be made with the property owner to cut back overhanging vegetation. with regard to the badger holes, there is unfortunately nothing we can do by filling the holes as it is an illegal offence but will put an advisory sign warning of holes.
