Overgrown hedge row

Reported in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 11:11, Tuesday 16 June 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2158014.

The path is now less than half its original width, making it awkward to walk on. Can you arrange for it to be cut back. and the trimmings disposed of correctly, not strewn all over the path and road as it was once before. Thanks.

  • This problem still exists and it is unsafe for pedestrians as the brambles extend well over the pathway and they have to step into the road to avoid them. The pathway is used more frequently recently due to people taking more exercise. The roadway too needs some attention along this section as the weeds growing up between curb and road surface are obscuring the curb and reducing the effectiveness of drainage during recent heavy storms.

  • PLEASE get this hedge cut back. Its more dangerous for pedestrians by the day being forced into the roadway and fast traffic.

  • The section of path is now almost impossible to walk along without stepping into the road to avoid brambles, the weeds growing up through the cracks are a trip hazard, it won't be long before someone gets hurt using this path.
