Thank you for your enquiry a works order has been raised to cut back the hedges. The hedges were cut for safety reasons as they were affecting the carriageway. A further inspection will be undertaken. A further inspection has been completed. Where trees are concerned there is no ‘right-to-light’. Northamptonshire County Council is not required or obliged in respect of any law to prune a tree for the benefit of someone’s level of light. Whilst sympathetic we do not undertake tree works to facilitate light to either land (gardens, etc) or property (houses, conservatories, etc).
State changed to: No further action
