Pedestrians not considered by works.

Reported in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 14:08, Wed 24 June 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2170864.

The works being understaken by City Fibre are taking up the entire pathway, yet no consideration is being made for pedestrains. Signs say the pathway is closed, leaving pedestrians no option of where to go. Bus stops are left open but are inaccesible without crossing a wide and busy road at awkward places.

They take up the road between parked cars (presumably the house owners haven't been asked to keep the road clear). Often houses are entirely blocked in, with no crossing point from their houses.

Other work along the same paths have found it easy to accomodate a safe route for pedstrians in the road. Better organised works could do exacty the same.

The quality of the replaced surface will need examination too.
