An engineer has attended site 30/06/20 and checked the operation of the detection on the bridge deck that monitor the presence of moving objects. The maximum amount of all red time has been extended by an additional 10 seconds. This will increase the waiting time for vehicles/cyclists on the opposite side of the bridge. Whilst engineer was on-site several cyclists were observed to cross the stop line as the signals have changed to red. This could result in them meeting oncoming vehicles and there is no control over this. We will continue to monitor the operation of the signals.

12/7/2020. There is still problems with traffic control. As a cyclist I was verbally abused travelling towards earls Barton having started to cross in change to green. I believe the green was time based, but changed direction because traffic queues and didn’t recognise I was there. I am not slow! On return journey I started on change to green behind 1 car. Before even the car had completed crossing, vehicles started coming Again impatient horn use.
