Kerb has been lowered and not low enough due to road tarmac needing to be higher
Reported in the Damaged/Loose category anonymously at 18:11, Mon 29 June 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2178317.
We have had our Kerb lowered by a Council Approved Company and it is still not low enough. I have been in contact with the company that carried out the kerb lowering works and they have told me it is to the regs and cannot go any lower. They have said the road tarmac has sank and will need re laying to the correct height, I have looked down Orchard Road and this seems to be the same case as other people’s kerb lowerings. I am having to put wooden boards out to get my car onto my driveway as it has damaged the front bumper, also my wife has the same problem with her car this has also been damaged. Altogether the works has cost around £5,000 mark and I’m quite frustrated that I am unable to park on my drive as the road tarmac is at fault. I have seen the potholes have been filled and for that we are grateful, but the kerb lowering is the issue as you can see in the picture attached. This is at property 23 Orchard Road, Finedon. I look forward to your reply.
Regards. Luis.
