Damaged and unsafe footpath leading to two cottages (9 and 11 Corby Road) and a pub (The Royal George).

Reported in the Pothole / Failed Reinstatement category anonymously at 11:58, Wednesday 1 July 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2180902.

Referring to a previous report we made (ref: 2177101), with the following response from NCC: ‘ Thank you for your enquiry. The defects identified are outside the control of NCC and are the responsibility of the adjacent land owners as this is a private footpath / access.’..... please could I ask NCC to check this? I have attached our Land Registry Title Plan if that helps? We are happy to carry out the surface repair work ourselves but we are not happy to do this if there is any doubt that it is NCC owned land, which it seems may be the case. The path is shared access and used by the public so we also do not want to be party to any complaints made to NCC should there be any injuries on the path. Thanks for any help.
