Unable to apply social distancing on footway
Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 14:43, Fri 3 July 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2184380.
The footpath width is severely reduced in parts between Ecton Brook and Ecton due to a) over hanging trees and b) the ground not being maintained and so vegetation on the ground growing over the footpath. At some points this reduces the footway to a width below 1m meaning that people/cyclists are unable to pass. The overgown trees also force pedestrians/cyclists towards the curb line to pass, which feels dangerous as motorists pass at (lets hope) the speed limit of 60mph.
