Ridiculously poor repair work.
Reported in the Pothole / Failed Reinstatement category anonymously at 16:55, Mon 13 July 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2198661.
Today, 13th July 2020, you sent a team to repair the broken slabs of this pathway. You did so with tarmac, sadly, the team you got to do the job are grossly incompetent. There are voids on every patch, loose tarmac that is already lifting (it's been down all of 4 hours) and it's very uneven, just waiting for an elderly or infirm person to trip.
You should be deeply ashamed at the terrible standard of work, the team involved should be dismissed because the are obviously not able to carry out this simplest of maintenance tasks.
Please rectify this of a repair.

Thank you for your enquiry, and thank you for bringing this to my attention, the site has been inspected today and the repairs are temporary in order to make safe any hazards that have been identified through the safety inspection program, we do not replace broken paving slabs with new as these continue to be driven over hence that's why these have been tarmacked. This footway is on our capital improvements if the budget allows which could mean that the complete length of paving slabs and kerbs are replaced.
