Vibrations felt in house due to recent works
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 15:51, Wed 15 July 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2201895.
A new trench was dug across the A5076 one Saturday in June 2020 (I didn't record the exact date). The resultant surface stands proud like a low-profile speed bump. The lorries travelling down the hill and hitting it at approximately 50 mph are causing significant vibrations within the houses close by. These vibrations were not present before the works mentioned above. The trench travels the entire width of both carriageways from 10-20 metres west of the Ladybridge Drive junction on the westbound carriageway to the mobile phone mast on the eastbound carriageway. There are a significant number of lorries travelling along that road.
