COntinued blocked drains from MEadlow Close to Sidegate Lane
Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 16:25, Wed 15 July 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2201958.
Around April time i notified you of the fact that jsut about all of the drains along the A510 from the entrace to Meadow Close up to Sidegate lane were blocked. They still are and now even worse. To this end, last night I hit this huge amount of standing water just before the Bridge. I had a vehicle coming the other way. Due to the county councils insistance of also ripping out the street lighting I couldn't see it. The force of the water has ripped the front stone guard off my car at which point I then drove over it. The idiot you sent out (if you or your appointed contractor actually did visit the site) clearly did not get out of their vehicle or should have gone to Specsavers as there are at least 10 blocked drains. Or maybe it was a few days later and couldn't use their brain to think it might have dried up?

Once again. Heavy rain and by the looks of it some other person has lost bodywork from their car by going through the standing water. I cannot believe that THREE months later you cannpt arrange for the drains to be emptied of silt? Perhaps while the road is closed for the installation of the roundabouts a bit further up the county council will see sense to resurfce that section of road as well as its being patched every couple of months indicating that the surface is knackered???
