The Parish Council want to place a memorial bench on the site of the old school sign. Our school shut a long time ago and the sign is redundant.

  • Thank you for your query to Northamptonshire County Council’s Street Doctor Service with regard to the Parish Council’s request for the removal of the signing for the school at Creaton. Although the school is closed “Ducklings” nursery still operate from this site and have their signing at this location. I would therefore suggest that this proposal is discussed initially with the operators of Ducklings as they would need to relocate their signing. The original Great Creaton Primary School signs and posts would have been installed by the school and probably would have been organised through the County Council’s Property Services’ who look after School buildings etc. and can be contacted at PSHelpdesk@northamptonshire.gov.uk and who would have to arrange removal. Please note that permission for the installation of the bench on Highway land will need to be obtained from the County Council’s Highway Regulations section at Regulations@northamptonshire.gov.uk
