This hedge needs cutting back.

Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 14:59, Friday 17 July 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2204976.

The hedge, which the Parish Council believes is a highway hedge, is interfering with footway light No. 30 which is located on Portway opposite the turning to Portway Drive. Another reason for it to be cut back is that next month (August 2020) the Parish Council will be taking delivery of a portable VAS device with solar panel with the intention of affixing it to footway lamp No. 30. Unless the hedge is cut back sufficiently (by a length of approx. 800m between Lamp No 30 and House No. 2 Portway and to a depth of 1m) the sensor in the VAS will not be able to measure the speed of approaching vehicles and will not be activated.
