Subsidence/sinking of the footpath
Reported in the Pothole / Failed Reinstatement category anonymously at 17:26, Tue 21 July 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2210724.
Subsidence/sinking of the footpath impacting on the adjacent properties. This has been reported many times in the past by other neighbours only for the 'sticking plaster' applied to address the issue (later of tar to the surface). It has been found by KBC (Kettering Borough Council) that there is a hollow space beneath, which is also potentially a habitat for rats and a rat run (seen), already reported to KBC. This also may have impacted upon the sewer also immediately adjacent and Anglia Water are aware. KBC have indicated the footpath is part of the highway and to be reported to NCC/Highways/Street Doctor. I have also discussed with the local councillor. This issue needs to be explored. Please also contact me should you be in any doubt about the issue I am reporting!
