Drains are covered by silt and vegetation
Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 09:36, Thu 23 July 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2212968.
I have reported this problem before about 6 months ago but nothing has changed. A lot of the drains from the County boundary to 'The Drove' turnoff are similarly blocked which with a downpour cases the road to flood and you get rivulets of water on both sides of the road.

With the rain that we have had the you now have to drive dangerously close to the centre line and vehicles are doing the same coming the other way to avoid being dragged in to the side 'streams' that are flowing due to the blocked drains.
Only a matter of time until an accident. East Northants Council-DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

14th January 2021 and still nothing has changed. The drains are still blocked. There is standing water on the west bound carriageway after the Kings Cliffe turn which is creeping over onto the eastbound carriageway. The entrance to the two layby are so suited up that the verge has encroached on the entrance by a metre. Also the trees and vegetation which overhangs the verges needs cutting back as they are basically onto the road between the laybys and the Kings Cliffe/Withering back gate junction. Today with all of the rain that we have had would be a good time to go and survey this area. East Northants Council it is your responsibility to maintain that piece of road from the County boundary to the Duddington roundabout not Highways England. It is the same for Cambridgeshire from Wansford to their county boundary only they have managed to sort most of the problems within a couple of months of my first report.
