Tree branches protruding into main road from the hedgerow as a result of a car accident earlier this week.

Reported in the Verges - Damaged by Vehicles category anonymously at 12:50, Saturday 1 August 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2225946.

This issue was caused a result of a vehicle accident earlier in the week where a car hit the hedgerow (I wasn't aware until I was informed by another Mawsley resident after my incident today). As you drive towards the area affected in the direction of the Broughton Roundabout on the A43, you cannot see the protruding branches until the very last minute, and as I experienced today there was an oncoming vehicle on the opposite carriageway and I had no option but to hit the branches which have left scratches on my car. More importantly, this presents itself as a dangerous hazard to cyclists, horse riders and pedestrians who use this section of the road.
