Thank you for contacting Street Doctor regarding your enquiry. Please be advised that Northamptonshire Highways are aware of the issue but at this stage with no restrictions in place preventing parking we are unable to act. However, we have recently been contacted by the local PC and are in the process of looking at consultation for potential new restrictions to be placed to aid residents and visitors. It may be helpful to also explain that we would suggest that in the instance of obstructive parking you should contact Northamptonshire Police Safer Communities Team on their non-emergency telephone number of 101. Northamptonshire Police can enforce if there is an obstruction on the highway where it is deemed not possible for a driver to safely manoeuvre, pedestrians to pass unhindered along the footway or that access to a public or private property is impeded.
