Public footpath PH1 not cleared properly last time now overgrown completely inaccessible

Reported in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 16:07, Friday 7 August 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2235209.

Public footpath PH1 on entrance to Stanwick Pastures wood. At least 100 meters of the path has not been cut back in last job. In pictures one and two you can clearly see where work has stopped last time and left incomplete, resulting in the rest of the path completely inaccessible. The final picture shows access at the other end, inside woods. It appears this end was not attempted to be cleared either.

It is no good saying 'This path is on our annual Rights of Way mowing programme, which is currently being undertaken. The mowing programme is carried out twice a year during the peak growing season. The site is to be revisited after bird nesting season (October) to undertake further and more extensive clearance works.'

This was not cleared properly last time. This is what we pay council tax for. You have not investigated this. This needs rectifying now, not at the end of the year. Please stop fobbing this request off and get the work carried out that our council tax pays for.
