Footpath/bridleway Completely flooded
Reported in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 10:29, Wed 12 August 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2241563.
The bridleway From Kilsby to Crick where it passes under the M1 is completely flooded and is impassible. I have used this route for over 15 years, water tends to gather in this location during the winter months but never this deep and never in the summer. Work was done on the M1 motorway some months ago and since this work was carried out it is regularly flooded. I attempted to walk though March time and the water was to the top of my wellies so I turned back. I attempted again last week thinking as there had not been any rain it would be dry, but it is completely flooded, I didn’t venture in, but it still looks at least ankle deep. This footpath is a safe way to travel between Crick and Kilsby as the other routes are major busy roads so urge you to investigate please.
