Signage not big enough

Reported in the Damaged / Missing / Facing Wrong Way category anonymously at 14:44, Thursday 13 August 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2243890.

EVERY single day there are MULTIPLE cars that turn into Russell Street from Gladstone street, whilst there is clear signage that I can see, its obviously not big enough or bright enough for everyone else, apologies if I have reported to wrong section, couldn't find another suitable subject, we either need better signage and more road markings or a consultation to make it two way, it's getting dangerous

  • Thank you for your query to Northamptonshire County Council’s Street Doctor Service with regard to drivers turning against the “No entry” signing from Russell Street into St Peter’s Avenue. An officer has been out to inspect the site and confirms that all the requisite signing is in place and of the correct size for an urban situation. It was however noted that the “No Entry” roadmarkings in both St Peter’s Avenue and Russell Street are worn so we have asked our maintenance section to arrange for these to be refurbished.
