I originally reported this issue of rain water running up onto the footpath and flooding my driveway but it was accepted

Reported in the Pothole / Failed Reinstatement category anonymously at 15:52, Saturday 15 August 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2246895.

I was disappointed that my initial request was denied when (as per my new picture attached) it is quite clearly causing my driveway to flood and washing away the footpath. I am about to re-do my driveway and it would be a real shame if it was flooded and ruined after one downpour.

  • Hi - the tarmac has completely washed away on the path as a result of this issue. Please could you confirm that you will be able to resurface/patch this at the same time?

  • Morning, I find it hard to agree with the conclusion that no further action is required regarding the driveway entrance to our house at 46 Ashley Lane. It has been agreed that the drop curb is too low, causing flooding of water onto the drive so it is logical that this flooding has also caused the damage to the driveway entrance, washing all the tarmac away. I think it's so bad it causes a bit of a hazard for young children (we have one) or elderly walking across. I thought when the curb is repaired, it would makes sense to re-lay the tarmac at the same time.
