Right of way not maintained
Reported in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 19:22, Sat 22 August 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2258502.
The right away that runs parallel to the byway has not been maintained, for a number of years.
The farmer hasn't left a path through the fields and has left the undergrowth and bushes to overgrow making areas difficult to use for many people along the whole route.
The signs of the route also seem to be be removed.
Top end, there a cross country horse jump (photo), but no sign of a way through with out using it, and so quite dangerous.
Many people of the local villages would like access to this route again, also seen many outsiders (rammblers ect) trying to use it but not able to locate or walk it properl.
Many have spoke to the farm about this issue to avail.

Thanks for reporting this a site visit has been made and it would appear that we do need to put some signage up but due to the time of the year being now wet and crops on the field it is almost impossible for us to do this, as you go over the bridge going north it seems that there are gaps in the hedges so ideally all we need to do for now is to get the land owner to spray out the crop which will give a clear line of the path and should be able to be followed. We will now contact the landowner to ask for this to be done as soon as possible.
