Gully drains outside both 4 & 5 are seriously blocked causing local flooding

Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 18:06, Thursday 27 August 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2266968.

Every time it rains the two gully drains out numbers 4 & 5 St Mary’s Close immediately fill and overflow making the head of the Close one big puddle. When it rains hard or continuously, the puddle continues expanding to the point it then flows down into the driveway and then into the garage of number 4. Please do sort this out as soon as possible as it is causing a lot of distress to both houses and the owner of number 4 vis currently undergoing chemotherapy and really does not need this additional hassle. Thank you, Roger... Roger L Gilbert

  • After yesterday’s heavy downpour, thankfully that only last ten or fifteen minutes, the two gullies quickly filled up and, yet again, flooded both our drive and our neighbour’s drive & garage! The flooding did not drain very fast at all - we watched it for at least half an hour and the level hardly changed at all. There is clearly a serious problem with surface water drainage at this location, please fix it urgently before our properties are subject to costly damage?
