Reported in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 20:58, Thu 3 September 2020 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2267990.

This puddle is on the path outside my gate so when it rains people have to wade through it to visit my house when it dries its like mud and silt Path has deteriorated over a number of years now it's a problem also with winter approaching standing water leads to ice which in itself is hazardous as I'm sure you would agree

  • Hello. This is an on going problem for us here at Windmill business centre. Glassbrook rd. Rushden

Car park across our gated entrance and it stops lorries from reversing in. We have tons of glass delivered daily.

How do we go about getting double yellow lines put on the road?

    Many thanks Craig Dukes

Director of Woodford Glass Ltd 01933355311 or 07713097985

    TIA for any help

  • Thank you for using our street doctor service. Unfortunately we do not generally use double yellow lines for access protection however you can apply for white access protection markings by contacting regulations@northamptonshire.gov.uk or visiting Northamptonshire County Councils website at https://www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/ councilservices/ northamptonshire-highways/ parking/ Pages/ obstruction-of-driveways.aspx to make an application online. Please note that access protection markings are not legally enforceable and require a level of neighbourhood co-operation for success. In the meantime we would suggest that in the instance of obstructive parking you contact Northamptonshire Police Safer Communities Team on their non-emergency number of 101. Northamptonshire Police can enforce if there is an obstruction on the highway where it is deemed not possible for a driver to safely manoeuvre, pedestrians to pass unhindered along the footway or that access to a public or private property is impeded. Kind regards.
