PO concrete slab needs re-tarmacing

Reported in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 21:17, Sunday 30 August 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2271005.

I have reported this PO concrete slab previously for the same reason. Once again it has tarmac missing along the edges and the gaps surrounding the slab are getting bigger. This could be a hazzard for anyone wearing shoes with thin heels if the heel was to go into one of the holes! It also has the potential to get worse and could possible end up with a person walking on it and ending with their leg down a hole, especially as this has been getting worse over the last two months!

This slab is situated on the footpath leading out of Jubilee Close between numbers 4 & 5 Jubilee Close. It is towards the end of the footpath just before another footpath crosses which leads down to Briar Hill Primary School.

  • Can you advise as to when this job will be done please? It is a PO cover so I really don't see what it has to do with Anflian Water!

The way things are at the moment with heavy rain, not to mention the fact that the weather over the next few months is only going to deteriorate, the issues surrounding this cover are only going to get worse!

I walk with the aid of a walking stick and although I am careful, it will only take a slight lapse of attention for my stick to go in gaps around this slab which would probably result in me having a bad fall - something I have absolutely no wish to happen!
