Good Afternoon, thank you for your inquiry regarding the surface dressing works that were recently carried out on Great Billing Way. We experienced some issues with the installation of the dressing on site due to a bout of heavy rain which came soon after works were completed. However, the site has now been assessed and will be monitored for the foreseeable future to monitor any changes and to ensure that the carriageway meets the required specifications.

The road surface is completely shiny and this morning I had to do an emergency stop on my motorcycle and I skidded. Please can you get this done ASAP. The road surface is not fit for purpose and in the rain a less experienced rider will crash.

That you have put the painted lines back onto the carriageway suggests that you do not have a problem with this and the awful way you have left it. Please may you revisit the examination of the surface and perhaps not use rice crispies that dissolve in the rain next time you resurface it? The surface is not getting any better is it very very smooth now and becoming a bigger hazard as we move to winter and with further degradation of the surface due to the wet and cold weather. When I crash on this I SHALL be citing your inefficiancy in resolving the matter that you have known about and dismissed as 'monitoring'.

I hope this is not going to be left in this hazardous state, I take it because you have painted the lines you find this acceptable, wel it isn’t accident waiting to happen & don’t think if you put skid risks signs up you will be covered, this needs addressing urgently I do not want my taxes used for this utter rubbish
