Public footpath completely blocked by tree
Reported in the Passage-Obstructed/Overgrown category anonymously at 15:47, Fri 4 September 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2278645.
Last week I reported a public footpath in Winwick had been completely blocked by a tree that had fallen from council owned land taking out fences and damaging a wall. Having had trouble identifying the right department within the council it was reported to Ashley in what I believe is the Highways Department. Two vehicles arrived later and ‘Footway Closed’ signs were placed at each end of the obstruction.
As this is a well used path, the blockage is causing real inconvenience with some walkers trying to climb over the trunk which now has barbed wire in it. Can someone let me know what is happening to remove this fallen tree and when it will occur?
