Planned works unacceptable
Reported in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 16:02, Tuesday 15 September 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2296219.
Since 8:30 this morning we’ve had to put up with constant drilling and works to the pavement opposite, whilst we are working from home.
We’ve had not had the common courtesy of prior warning from yourselves that works are due to take place and resultantly, our vehicles are parked outside, which are at serious risk of collision on a tight street.
This is not to mention the amount of noise that we’ve had to deal with whilst speaking with clients and customers (we both also work for Northamptonshire). Our neighbours have not had any prior warning either, some of whom are elderly and have had their vehicles bollarded around, which I imagine would cause a great inconvenience should they wish to go out.
As you can see, due to the parking of the vehicle opposite, there is a very tight gap to get through for anyone accessing the road which means that a number of cars (including two of our own - my grey van of which I’ve literally last week got back from the paint shop) are at serious risk of damage.
There’s no pathway to complain about this practise via the site and as such, I’ve had no option but to log this here.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.
