Bushes, including pyrocanthus, growing across the path, making it difficult to walk on the path.

Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 17:13, Monday 21 September 2020

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2305390.

The bushes do not appear to have been trimmed back on sections of the path all year and are now practically spreading across the whole width of the path.

  • Having received a second letter regarding these bushes, we have once again ensured that all vegetation that is on our property has been kept in check and have written a detailed letter to the highways agency to explain where the boundaries are, including numerous annotated photographs and copies of our plans. We have also invited the inspector to visit our property for a tour of our boundaries and have even offered a video tour (if they can provide an email address to send it to) in order to demonstrate that we are NOT responsible for the offending trees and bushes.

Quite frankly we feel harassed by these impersonal missives which have come at a very difficult time for our family having had a close family member battling cancer resulting in a bereavement the day before this latest report.

I am still awaiting a reply from the highways agency, but I entreat them NOT to send yet another distressing instruction to us regarding the trees which are clearly on the boundary of the car park which serves the flats to the side of our property as can clearly be seen on the map attached.

    10 Faraday Close.
