Hedges overhanging road forcing vehicles into opposing traffic
Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 18:14, Thursday 24 September 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council less than a minute later. ref: 2310539.
The stretch of Welton lane running from monksmoor estate to wharf farm has a very overgrown hedge hanging over carriage way. HGV and tractor traffic are forced to cross the white line into opposing traffic to avoid catching the hedge with their vehicles. Oncoming vehicles are having to take to the footpath to avoid them causing even more dangerous conditions for pedestrians. This issue has been getting gradually worse for years and at no point has this hedge been cut.
