Blocked Drain
Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 10:49, Tue 6 October 2020
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2327790.
There is a recurring problem with a drain in the road outside 120/122 New Croft NN7 4RN. During heavy rain it is unable to clear surface water and floods the footpath, which then overflows down onto property, a shared driveway. It is eroding the gravel driveway, as it eventually drains onto our neighbour’s lawn. Issue reported to Anglian Water who have been out to look at it today but they have told us this drain is the responsibility of Highways. The water does eventually clear so if the drain is inspected during dry weather the problem will not be apparent.
Photo taken on 3rd October at the time there was light rain, following heavier rain. It is possible to see that the rest of the road does not have any standing water on it
