Yet again traffic congestion chaos caused by temporary traffic lights at the roundabout junction of Overstone Road and Holcot Lane. Without any prior warning or prior consultation another set of temporary traffic lights has appeared, and again within only a few weeks of the previous traffic mayhem. Early hours of the morning with vehicles sat at the light revving engines in anticipation of the lights changing, excessive polluting diesel/petrol fumes filling the air, Heavy goods vehicles mounting the pavement to avoid the stationary traffic, enduring the load music from parked vehicles, debris being thrown from stationary vehicles and the unnecessary use of the car/lorry/van horn at ridiculous times in the morning. Any attempt to access and egress our property is a massive and problematic issue, the high kerbs necessitates using part of the south bound carriageway, this cannot be facilitated approaching the property from the roundabout, as a consequence we either have to circumnavigate the village and approach from the north or use one of Sywell airfield gates to turn round. This merely displays another total lack of respect and consideration for local residents, NO warning of the works was given and it's the public, specifically the nearby residents that are left with the problem.
Thank you for reporting a fault. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

Thank you for your report. Temporary lights are the responsibility of the Company that is undertaking the work we only deal with permanent signals. I have passed this on to the NRSWA Team to investigate.
