Footpath damaged by gas pipe replacement contractors

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2334453.
Cracked and loose paving slabs between 123 and 121 Malcolm Drive. Reported to Cadent (gas pipe contractor) but they refuse to accept responsibility or undertake repair. The footpath was in good condition before the recent gas pipe replacement work.

Thank you for your enquiry This has been passed to Cadient Gas I visted Site and they worked on the other side of the road I believe this from vehicles driving up on the Grass verges but I am waiting for a reply from Caent gad

We have recevied findinds back from Cadient Gas They never worked on that sid of the road all their work all their work was on ther other side. I will now pass this to our maintenance Department and they need to visit andeem cause of actionThank you for your enquiry This has been passed to Cadient Gas I visted Site and they worked on the other side of the road I believe this from vehicles driving up on the Grass verges but I am waiting for a reply from Caent gas

It is true Cadent Gas only worked on the other side of the road but Cadent Gas's heavy works vehicles were constantly driving over the footpaths during this time which makes it very likely that they were the cause of the damage.
