Farm machinery placed across farm track, dangerous hazard for runners and cyclists.

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways less than a minute later. ref: 2344781.
A local farmer has placed an old piece of farm machinery across a track that we use to run and cycle down. As residents of Wigsthorpe it is our right of way to walk or cycle down this route due to being in the same parish as Lilford. We understand that there's no car access down this road however we would appreciate if this obstruction was moved as currently it is quite dangerous to cross. The exact location on what three words is willing.delays.jogged. It has been present for about 6 months. Thanks.

Thank you for using the Streetdoctor service to make us aware of this issue. The road in question is private and there is no public right of way along it, therefore it is outside our remit to take or require any action here. I have passed your (anonymous) comments to the parish clerk and so it may be raised at the next parish council meeting. Regarding right of access for residents of the wider parish, normally on a private road access rights even for pedestrians are only for properties directly adjacent to that road, not based on residence within the wider parish. Any rights of access would normally be included in the deeds of properties with those rights, so if you have not already done so you could check your own deeds, or investigate any historical evidence that wider access rights were intended. However it would remain a private/civil issue, not a matter we can address.
